Located in Toronto, ON, the singer-songwriter dabbles in genres of indie pop and rock, with influences of jazz and folk. Reminiscent of artists like Lizzie McAlpine and Mazzy Star, Laura’s songs present an intricate tapestry of heartfelt honest lyricism, layered harmonies, and diverse musical instrumentation.
Currently pursuing her Bachelor of Music Degree, Laura also performs with her band around various venues in Toronto, including the Drom Taberna and the Rec Room with the music festival NXNE (North by North East). She has also made an appearance on 96.9 Humber Radio, where she performed some of her songs live and was interviewed on her songwriting.
As of now, Laura is working on her upcoming 6-track EP, “Not Even Funny”, scheduled to be released in the summer of 2025.
“Songs for me represent a moment in time, whether it be something outside of us or a reflection of us inside. Through this EP, I want people to see me — the good, the bad, the growing, and the healing. Love can be such a vulnerable and embarrassing thing, but I hope that the act of pouring my heart out resonates with people”.
